Canucks Game Tonight On Tv Live

Miller Puts Canucks Ahead in Final Minute to Beat Oilers 3-2 in Game 5

Canucks Win Series, Advance to Second Round

Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller scored with just seconds remaining in the third period, giving his team a 3-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series Monday night. The Canucks win the series 4-1.

Miller's Goal Lifts Canucks

Miller's goal came with just 4.9 seconds left on the clock. The Canucks were trailing 2-1 and had pulled goalie Thatcher Demko for an extra attacker. Miller took a pass from Elias Pettersson and fired a shot past Oilers goaltender Mike Smith.

The goal sent the Rogers Arena crowd into a frenzy and gave the Canucks their first playoff series win since 2011.

Canucks Advance to Second Round

The Canucks will now face the Colorado Avalanche in the second round. The Avalanche are the top seed in the Western Conference and are heavily favored to win the series.

However, the Canucks have shown that they can be a dangerous team when they are playing their best. They will need to continue to play with the same intensity and determination that they showed in Game 5 if they want to have a chance to upset the Avalanche.
